Windows Re-install.com - This is probably the first site to go to if you need to re-install any version of Windows. It has some great tips, but I must warn you the advertising is annoying.

  • Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME
    • Windows Support Center - This page has just about everything you need to know about windows. Tips, Tricks, and support info. Very informative.
    • Microsoft Knowledgebase - Microsoft's support search engine. The only way to search BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error codes. Example: (0x00000000A)

 

  • Windows NT, Windows 2000

  • Windows XP

    • Google Linux - Linux specific search engine powered by google.com
    • Linux Tips and Tricks - A nice lengthy list of tips and tricks for Linux, courtesy of IT World.com.
    • UNIX Rosetta Stone - Nice cross reference of UNIX/LINUX Commands across various distributions and OS versions (AIX, DARWIN (aka OS X core), IRIX, FreeBSD, Linux, HP-UX, etc).
